Moose & the Pack: Building Bonds That Last

These moments capture more than training—they reflect the heartbeat of Helping Paws. Moose, our soul dog and co-trainer, doesn’t just guide other dogs through healing and growth—he welcomes them into a space where trust is earned and love is lasting. Every dog in these photos is part of something bigger: a family built on empathy, resilience, and connection.

Because here, once you're a client, you're family. You’re seen, supported, and celebrated—through every breakthrough, setback, and tail-wagging triumph. And Moose is right there, showing what it means to lead with grace and walk forward together

“Six months ago, he couldn’t leave his crate. Today, he walks beside me—free, joyful, and unafraid.”

“When we adopted him, we thought love would be enough. But his fear ran so deep, it came out as aggression. He couldn’t be near anyone outside our family. If someone entered our home, he’d growl, bark, and lunge from inside his crate. We were overwhelmed, heartbroken, and unsure how to help him heal.

Then Amanda came into our lives. That first month, she didn’t ask anything of him. She simply showed up—calm, grounded, and full of quiet understanding. I watched the unspoken language begin to form between them. After just one week, he stopped barking when she walked in. By week three, his tail would wag in excitement at the sound of her voice.

At the beginning of month two, he stepped out of his crate and took treats from her hand. And then—at the end of that month—something happened that I’ll never forget. Amanda sat on the floor, Moose nearby like a gentle guardian. Our dog walked out of his crate, tail wagging, and showered her in kisses. I dropped to my knees and cried uncontrollably. It was something words can’t explain and only the heart can feel.

By month six, we were walking through dog parks—no muzzle, no leash, no fear. Just trust. Just joy. Just a dog who finally knew he was safe.

Amanda didn’t just train our dog. She gave him back to himself. She gave us back our hope. And she reminded us that healing is possible—even for the most wounded souls.”

“Moose didn’t just help train my dog—he connected with her in a way I didn’t know was possible.”

“Watching Moose work with my dog was like witnessing a silent conversation between souls. She was shut down, fearful, and barely responsive. But Moose didn’t push—he invited. He moved slowly, gently, and with purpose. Within minutes, she was mirroring him. Within days, she was walking beside him with confidence. Amanda facilitated every moment with such grace, but Moose… Moose was the bridge. He showed her what safety felt like. He showed me what healing looks like.”

"Amanda’s gift isn’t just training—it’s translation.”

“She speaks dog fluently. I watched her walk into our chaos and immediately understand what was happening beneath the surface. She didn’t just correct behavior—she explained it, honored it, and helped us rewrite the story. Moose was her silent partner, showing my dog what peace looked like. Amanda’s knowledge is unmatched, but it’s her heart that makes her unforgettable.”

"There are trainers. And then there’s Amanda and Moose.

I came to Helping Paws with a dog who had been through hell—and brought the storm with him. I expected structure, maybe progress. What I got was transformation. Amanda doesn’t just train dogs. She speaks to them. On a level so deep, so intuitive, it feels like watching someone translate emotion into movement. She saw through my dog’s chaos and met him in the quiet underneath.

And Moose? Moose is the soul of it all. He doesn’t need words. His presence alone calms the room. He’s lived the pain, and somehow still chooses grace. Watching Moose and Amanda work together is like witnessing a kind of alchemy—one heart guiding another, one soul lifting the next.

They’re not just good. They’re legendary. A dream team in the dog training world. Trauma-informed, relationship-centered, and emotionally fluent in ways most humans never reach.

Helping Paws gave my dog his dignity back. And gave me the tools to honor it. If you’re lucky enough to train here, you’ll see what healing really looks like. It has four paws, a gentle gaze, and a trainer who listens like love itself. "

"There’s a quiet magic in the way Amanda moves. My rescue, Willow, came to me shattered. Amanda didn’t rush her—she listened to the silence between the barks, the tremble in her tail. What unfolded was not obedience, but a relationship. A dance. A healing. Helping Paws isn’t just a name—it’s a promise kept."

"Helping Paws isn’t just a training service—it’s a movement. Amanda doesn’t just fix behaviors; she rewrites stories. My dog was labeled ‘aggressive.’ Amanda saw a survivor. She gave him dignity, and gave me the confidence to be his voice. If you want real change, this is where it starts."
